Well, Storm has always been in pursuit of the very best equipment in existence, and "good enough" just isn't in his vocabulary!

That is not entirely true. For IQ my Sigma 105mm f/1.4 is good enough, as I do think the RF 85mm f/1.2 is more desirable. For AF I believe the Sigma is better though, and 105mm is better to have when going without a 70-200mm.

The EF 24-70mm f/2.8 mkII is also a "good enough" option, not so much for the IS, even not so much for better sharpness, but the all important bokeh is of the RF version is definitely better.

Even the A7IV is a "good enough" option. I need it because the 50mm GM doesn't fit the R5, but the R5 is definitely the better camera, no question. With that A7IV you can't toggle eyes between persons with the joystick. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4694313#forum-post-66800947

The noise pattern of higher ISO values is less pleasing (subjective of course, but nonetheless important). In low light AF the A7IV has more difficulties to recognize eyes being smaller in the frame (more lousy speaking: "at larger distances").

The A7IV has a front dial, but it's not placed very well. Not horrible, but not great either. (Fortunately I can circumvent this buy using that awesome aperture ring of the 50mm GM.)

Believe it or not:  I'm even thinking about a slow "good enough" standard zoom. The 167g  FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6.  The R5 + EF 24-70mm mkII will be better, but maybe the M-shooter in me has a soft spot for this tiny small range (about the same as the Sigma 18-35mm) zoom, to shoot it around f/8.0 in good light.  Even when carrying a bag with R5, 28mm Art, 50mm GM, RF 85mm f/2.0 IS stm, 105mm Art for when the light gets low or shallow DOF is preferred it's still enjoyable to have a very light weight small standard zoom on the camera.
