Everyday Carry - X100 vs XE / XT x0 / XT x00

I think the questions you need to ask yourself are these, and in roughly this order:

1. Do you want PASM (X-Tx00) or traditional controls (the others)?
2. Do you want a left-side viewfinder (X100, X-E) or central (X-Tx0, X-Tx00)?
3. Do you want an OVF (X100) or are you not bothered (the others); though note that the X100V still has slightly the better EVF, not that the others are awful by any means, especially if you don’t wear glasses.
4. Are you frequently going to want full manual control of ISO as well as aperture and shutter speed? If so, X100V has an ISO dial while the others will reset your ISO to a stored value every time you select a custom settings bank.
5. Do you want to use the custom settings to create JPEG recipes while shooting in the same fashion (X100, X-E3 or earlier, X-T30 mk1 or earlier, X-Tx00) or do you want to use them to create different ways of shooting, eg AF configs and everything else, instead (X-E4, X-T30 mk2)? If you’re set on one then picking the wrong camera might drive you nuts (it does me).
6. Are you happy with the focal length of the X100 (noting that it has the option of converter lenses if you like that sort of thing) or will you want lens options including zooms?

If you can answer most of those then you should have an answer.

All of them give great image quality, and they all handle pretty well. An X-E with the 27 is basically the same size and shape as an X100 so that doesn’t differentiate them. The X-Tx0 bodies are a similar size with a slight hump, and obviously a slightly different shape; personally I find the flat rangefinder style slips in and out of bags just slightly easier. Only the X100V is weather resistant, though in all honesty it doesn’t “feel” rugged so I’m not sure how much confidence it gives me.
