Haha I had that M6ii with the 22mm & most of the ef-m lenses! Once I used the old XE3, I quickly sold all my Canon gear...M6ii was an excellent camera in some ways yet lacking some very basic things. Fuji is much better imo. The only minor advantage of the Canon at that that time was eye-AF but Fuji have more than caught up in that regard. It just takes some time to learn to do things "the Fuji way".

Oh! Interesting. Since you've handled the M6II and the 22mm, how does the XE3 or your XT4 and a prime handle compared to that? Any less "pocketable"? You don't appear to have the smaller 23/27mm Fuji though. I had the M50 and fumbling with the single control dial was a pain to do when needing to shoot quickly, hence my eventual jump to the R6.

XE3 with the 27mm pancake is more "pocketable" but the grip on the M6ii was nice. XE4 went even more minimalist removing all grips. XT4 is bigger obviously but IBIS and the extra controls makes it worth it. XH2s is something else though! I had the M50 too before, I find the Fujis controls much better.

Oh in that case, you would not want to have the X100V stolen considering what they're selling for these days! I mentioned the 35mm f1.4 earlier but another excellent compact prime would be the Sigma 56mm f1.4 if you want to do some portraits.

Yeah it could be just GAS but who knows you could fully switch to Fuji one day.

I know! There's a VERY used (with battle scars to prove it) X100V going around the local FB marketplace for the equivalent of $2000...crazy!

I sold mine for AU$3000 haha. Great camera but not worth that much when I've got 3 other Fuji bodies.

I was always eyeing the Sigma 56mm 1.4 on the EFM mount but was hesitant to get in due to Canon's reluctance to support the line with more advanced bodies.

Too bad I had to part with the EFM 32mm and the 22mm. Those were gems in their own way.

Yeah the 32 was nice & I tried holding onto it but once I used the old Fuji 35 f1.4, it was game over for Canon.

I've been eyeing the R10 (and the eventual M6 II style body) and the eventual RF-S 22 though, but for a tiny kit and because Canon will likely not have any good RF-S fast zooms, going a separate brand for a smaller and lighter seems to be a good way to go.

Yeah and no third party lenses now makes things worse.

The XT5 and the Sigma 18-50 would weigh about 850g, while the R6 and the 24-105 (no similar lens in that category) would go about 500 grams more. The XE/XT *0/XT *00 would be even lighter! This is probably the GAS talking at this point, but hey, it's all in good fun

Haha yeah start small & cheap...the XE3 with the 18-55 f2.8-4 kit lens was my gateway!

I am regretting making this thread already

I'm now thinking that the XT5 with the Fuji 27mm WR 2.8 should make a killer combination.

Kidding aside, between the X100V and the XE3/XT4, was it that much of a compactness difference? Or not really?

I can get a zoom for the size of the R6 and the RF35, or could get a 40mm FF equivalent for marginally bigger than the X100V. The X100V has the advantage of 1 stop aperture though. I could do without the leaf shutter I think.
