Re: Everyday Carry - X100 vs XE / XT x0 / XT x00

I minimised my budget when getting a small Fuji kit alongside my main Canon gear. Got an X-A10 with 23mm f1.4 R for street and low light, as a more inconspicuous kit for that purpose. The lens on that body is kinda slow. Already it has an older focus motor. The newer version must be better, also more expensive and larger. But it does the job and will work better on a newer body. Beautiful lens apart from that.

One "annoying" thing with Fuji menus is that when you press menu, it doesn't go back to where you last were. Not much of an issue but just a matter of habit. If you use flash, I did notice that Fuji behaves differently than Canon. I mostly shoot manual with auto iso. When I deploy the flash on my G1X III, the camera knows I'm using flash to light the scene and so it automatically dials down the ISO to let the flash correct the subject exposure. This doesn't happen with Fuji. Even if you're using flash, the camera will still prioritise ISO to keep exposure correct and use flash only to fill light. So one must keep changing ISO manually in order to make the flash use more power.
