Hey there, you've got a nice setup. I'm just wondering what situations your R6 with the 35 would look odd lol. I'm happy to take my XH2s with the Sigma 18-50 or a f1.4 prime pretty much anywhere (except funerals or something!). However, I can see an X100V (which I used to own) being less inconspicuous.

I guess 'large' is relative and I wouldn't mind taking the R6 out for a spin with maybe family, but I was looking at something like the M6 Mark II with the Canon 22mm F2.0 STM, which is much smaller for the same kind of (sorry, my frame of references are all Canons) to do the same thing, which is why I had the X100V in mind, which is very very inconspicuous.

Haha I had that M6ii with the 22mm & most of the ef-m lenses! Once I used the old XE3, I quickly sold all my Canon gear...M6ii was an excellent camera in some ways yet lacking some very basic things. Fuji is much better imo. The only minor advantage of the Canon at that that time was eye-AF but Fuji have more than caught up in that regard. It just takes some time to learn to do things "the Fuji way".

None of the smaller bodies except X-S10 has IBIS. Maybe the next generation would change things but unlikely imo.

The next X100(VI?) would be a good compact choice with latest AF but if you want ILC then an XE5/XT40/X-S20 whichever comes out next...next Fuji Summit is in April so not long hopefully. For zooms, that Sigma is a great choice and for primes, any of the small f2 lenses, 27mm f2.8 pancake or the old 35mm f1.4 (the most compact f1.4 lens with special rendering).

If you're trying to be less inconspicuous (and carry less weight) then any of the compact Fuji bodies will do...IQ & AF from the same generation are identical. We have no idea what's coming out this year but hopefully the rumours start soon!

If you can't wait then have a look an the new XT5...I think it's about as good as it will get (anytime soon) with IBIS, bigger battery, decent grip, WR, decent EVF plus plenty of dials & controls! The smaller bodies generally compromise in this area.

The XT5 would actually be awesome but I'm not sure I want to go off on the deep end yet. Part of the allure of the EDC is that if I get mugged (unfortunate reality in these parts which is part of the reason I don't want to bring out the R6 for everyday), I won't really lose a whole lot of sleep over it. I know I'd go nuts if I lost the R6 and one of the F4 zooms...

The X100's weather sealing would also be nice - less to think about if the situation calls for it.

Either way, this seems like a great problem to have. Looking forward to all the rumors and I hope the local (I'm in south east asia) Fuji distributor carries a lot of the nice next gen cameras!!

I'm really liking the XE4 size with the Sigma 18-55 on your picture! I was thinking of having a prime on there the whole time and having the Sigma for a smaller 24-70 full frame equivalent. The R6 and the 24-105 isn't the largest but having a small kit is nice to take around too! I just can't tell if this is GAS at this point...

Oh in that case, you would not want to have the X100V stolen considering what they're selling for these days! I mentioned the 35mm f1.4 earlier but another excellent compact prime would be the Sigma 56mm f1.4 if you want to do some portraits.

Yeah it could be just GAS but who knows you could fully switch to Fuji one day.
