The main appeal to me of the X100* and X-Pro* bodies was the optical viewfinder.  As EVF's have become better and better, I slowly stopped using the OVF altogether.  At that point I realized the OVF was more of a hindrance to me compared to the EVF.  I switched to using the X-T* bodies and the 23 f2 lens for my "compact" body.  Prior to the X100V getting a new lens, the standalone 23mm f2 was much better than the original X100 lens.

The X-T2 and 3 are rather slim compared to the X-T4 and 5. An X-T3 with a couple f2 lenses makes a much more powerful and versatile kit than the X100.
