I'm going to be the contrarian and push outside the box. I would propose these changes....

I have always been drawn to the X100 series but having tried one I actually opted for a XE4/27, but still hanker after one - it's a heart over head decision. One day I'll weaken!

Sensor stays at 26mp, BUT goes stacked. Lower noise, faster processing, so biased towards quality at higher iso. Most that are using the x100v aren't pushing the envelope to where more megapixels will benefit them. Also reduces temps for video use.

Agreed,

23mm f1.8 - combined with above, allows for greater use at a wider range of lighting conditions.

May be but it may increase size/weight. Not sure that any increase would retain the camera's appeal for me.

new processor, taking advantage of better AF system that's being rolled out.

Agree.

flippy screen

Please no, tilt for me.

better evf, slightly larger.

May be, but larger, this camera is growing...

options to also do HEIF in addition to jpg.

Slightly move compact.

Would be nice, but with a wider aperture lens, flippy screen, larger EVF and larger battery, not sure whether this is feasible, but it would be nice.

slightly better flash specs.

Use the same w235 battery as x-t5, longer usage, standardizing on it.

Yes, but not if that leads to a larger body.

I'd be one looking for some form of stabilization too, but also recognise that this feature may also cause the body to grow.

It's fun to speculate.
