The R6II is a little more noisy than the R6 and there was some speculation about an internal fan. I always thought it IBIS and new body design. I'm not a thermal engineer but I looked up fans in enclosed compartments and didn't get any positive results.

I don't see a fan but the write up does say new thermals.

Wouldn't a fan need a vent somewhere? I would also think a fan, even a small one, would have a noticeable impact on battery life.

Yes I think there would have to be a vent. Some speculated a fan moving air to new thermal device to dissipate heat out through the body. It was based on a video by James Reader who did a sound test comparison between it and the R6. I can't find the video.

For the fan I suppose electromagnetic tech can be used like in modern IS/IBIS. Still would drain the battery.

Based on my searches all fans do is cool people when they sweat. In an enclosed structure the fan would just create more heat and make it worse. You need to intake and exhaust air just like cinema cameras.

The video might be in this thread.
