I'd rather see a GFX100V.

100mp sensor, 35mm (28mm equivilant) f2.8 or 3.2, IBIS, and a rangefinder form factor for no more than $5000.

a f/2.8 35 GFX would be way too big. f/4 would be possible, perhaps. What I don't get is the clamour for the 'R' when people add huge third party grips to them.

A digital version of the Mamiya 7 would be heaven, but perhaps too niche

Have you seen the prices of Mamiya 7's lately?

And I was thinking f2.8 due to how great the Plaubel Makina 67 is with one (which is also ridiculously expensive now), though like the Plaubel an f2.8 lens would probably need a retracting mechanism so 3.2 shouldn't be a terrible compromise to keep the size down.

The other thing that would be great about a 100mp GFX100V would be getting a 50mp TX1 since the 100mp GFX line has the ability to switch to a 50mp 65:24 aspect ratio, and the TX1 is yet another camera going for through the roof prices now.

So yes, a GFX100V would be a niche product, but it covers the same ground that three of arguably the most expensive to buy now film cameras that aren't some obscure special edition piece, or an M6, so I'd say there would absolutely be a market for it.
