Re: Tamron lenses does not work with Canon R6 Mark ii IBIS

Welcome to the forum, Imran.

Unfortunately some third party lenses identify themselves to the camera as completely different Canon lenses. This can upset Canon's in camera lens aberration corrections and the IBIS as the lens identification seems to override what the lens is telling the camera about focal length and aperture set, confusing the camera. https://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/08/canon-illumination-correction-and-third-party-lenses/ is quite an old document giving more details. The IBIS will overcompensate if it's given a longer focal length than is actually being used and you can't override the focal length supplied by the lens. All you can do is switch off stabilisation and lens corrections if the lens is giving the camera misleading information. Nearly every Canon EF lens is completely compatible with the RF mount cameras, and the latest Sigma lenses are pretty good too.
