The new tech that allows lenses to be sharp at f/1.4 and not cost an arm and a leg is the new tech that dazzles me.

The M50II eye tracking was dazzling for a while but it wore off.

f/1.4 lens dazzle is not wearing off !

I'm still somewhat shocked how good the 32mm 1.4 photos are on the M50, even though I have the 22mm and that already gave rather pleasing results for its price and size. The 32mm though, is on an another level.

I feel that people who look at Fuji's offerings (for example) and see on average better cameras than the M line (for a good reason) are not really giving the flip side of the coin due consideration - an M50 with a 32mm can be had for less than 900 or so euros in Europe (or even less second-hand). Fuji bodies I've seen already cost more than that, let alone with a 1.4 prime.

I mean I get it, some elements of the M line just aren't that competitive - but the value proposition is significant.

True!

And that is also why DPReview's Chris recently made a video on the news page and gave the m6II the Best Used Camera of the year!
