So, 40MP sensor better if Fujifilm provide multiple resolution RAW. When read entire sensor (without crop), oversampling to 26/24/16MP RAW for reduce noise. When crop/teleconvertor, no need oversampling.

In my view, viewing at 100% id a pointless artless exercise.  It's photographic top trumps - having the specs but not knowing how to use them properly.
