May be you will disappointed with 40MP low light performance. X-H2 review mentioned 40MP low light performance slightly worst than X-T3 :

'expect its additional detail to come with some increase in noise when viewed at 100% (simply because each individual pixel will get less light). What's going to be more interesting is looking at its whole-image quality, to see whether there's any overall noise cost to its higher level of detail capture."

So, 40MP sensor better if Fujifilm provide multiple resolution RAW. When read entire sensor (without crop), oversampling to 26/24/16MP RAW for reduce noise. When crop/teleconvertor,  no need oversampling.
