Re: Canon M6 with 18-150mm lens

My copy is very slightly decentered, and at the 18mm end of the zoom is noticeably softer in the lower right side until about f5.  Unless lighting is very low I shoot at f5 or smaller. At the long end it's good at f6.3 but slightly better at f8.

I'd say the sweet spot is f5.6-8 as others mention.

The sweet spot seems to be f5.6-8 for most vintage lenses and zooms I've owned, when used on the M6ii or M200 (24 MP sensor like the M6).

I've found modern primes such as the EF-M 22mm f2, Sigma 16mm and 56mm f1.4, Laowa 9mm f2.8, and Rokinons, unlike many vintage primes, can be very sharp up to around one stop smaller opening than their max aperture, and still quite good wide open.   The Canon 32mm f1.4 is exceptional and very sharp wide open.
