Would really appreciate if somebody with an X-H2S can try to replicate this issue.

I assume it's user error (too glaring to be a bug and too specific to be a manufacturing defect) but for the life of me I can't find the setting that's causing it.

Many thanks,

Did changing between M Shutter and E Shutter produce any different results?

Some results irrespectively of the shutter type, I'm afraid.

In the meantime, I tried my old X-T3 again I noticed the same issue, although it's much less apparent because the EVF is not nearly as good as the one on the X-H2S. I then tried to shoot some video on the Sony A7RV, which also has a great EVF, and bumped into the same issue.

So, dropping the screen/EVF frame rate to the recording frame rate seems to be standard practice across cameras? Surely I'm not the only one that gets queasy when the refresh rate drops from 120p to 24p, particularly when panning with a long lens?
