We are well past the point of equipment being "good enough." You could continue to shoot with your M bodies and lenses for years and not be at any real IQ disadvantage versus other equipment.

Yessir. In fact I plan on using my M6ii forever! Its capabilities are great enough for everything that I use it for.

Canon could create more exciting lenses for APS-C. But they don't want to take away from full frame, both in terms of marketing and production capacity.

Exactly Canon’s M.O.

I imagine that extends to video as well, hence the lackluster video specs on their APS-C bodies. If you're serious about cinema, they want you to buy an R5 or R6 mark II.

Well, if you’re truly serious about cinema, Canon really wants you to buy into their CINEMA line.

It is what it is. The only company truly committed to APS-C and to producing interesting, professional lenses for the format is Fuji.

Actually with the availability of 3rd party and the entirety of Canon’s EF/EF-S lens library, the M System has been pretty well fleshed out already (all except for that compact Sigma f/2.8 zoom ). Heck, with my M6ii right now I feel I can shoot just about anything on this planet! No need for any Fuji clunkers for me (my friend has a huge Fuji system and I shoot with it every now and then). No sir, I love my Canon.
