From the discussion I understand that nobody recommends to replace an old 600D with a newer DSLR (the 90D is the candidate), and most people would prefer to switch to mirrorless, even if using the existing lenses (all EF or EF-S).

I understand the disadvantage of using EF-S lens on mirrorless camera are minor,

but I still have doubts about the ergonomic of the R10. I feel better to hold the 90D (specially during tracks, even it's heavier), than holding the light-weight R10. The 90D feels more robust, at least for me.

At the bottom line - I'm more confused now than I was yesterday....

If you prefer the ergonomics of a larger body then you should go for the R7. I personally love the compact, light weight of the R10. I just replaced my 90D with an R10. I love it! The AF improvements are game changing! Just go for it. You wont be disappointed.

R10 ergonomics are very with good grip - EXCEPT for the wider diameter new RF lenses like the 100-500 and the 50 1.2. These are too wide at the base and leave no space for fingers.

The R10 work well with slimmer RF lenses and all EF lenses since the adapter is not wide.  I have even used it with my 500 f/4.

As Photato says, the battery door feels a little cheap - less good than the M6II.
