RF14-35 L vs EF 10-22 on a R7
I am going on a short trip to the Caribbean in a couple of days and have been wrestling with the question of what camera equipment to take. This is not a photography trip, just a vacation and an opportunity to see some family who are over-wintering from Vancouver on the island of Tobago.
I’ve already decided to take my R7 body, as opposed to my R5 (too big, especially with the battery grip) or my usual travel camera, my M6 II. Similarly, I have whittled down my lens selection. For the long end I decided to take my RF 24-240 as opposed to a combination of the RF-S 18-150 plus my adapted EF 70-300 L.
Now I need something on the wide end for the multiple indoor shots of family that i expect to take. My choices are between the EF-S 10-22 and a newly acquired RF 14-35L. I have not used the RF 14-35 on my R7, but have used it extensively on my R5, and love it. The EF lens has been a stalwart performer from my 7D2 days, as well as on my M6 II.
Unfortunately I am pretty busy over the next couple days and so will not be able to get out and do a head to head comparison myself.
Has anyone used the 14-35 on the R7 and if so, how has it performed for you? Also, does anyone have any experience with both of the above choices on the R7 and are you able to give me a comparison?
Thanks,
Chris
