Not exactly the 28mm equivalent focal length, but small enough to make it worth bringing into the mix.... Sony A6400 (or A6100, A6300, A6000) with the Sony 20mm f2.8 pancake. I find it a nice in-between focal length at 30mm FF equivalent.

Smaller than the closest Fuji alternative. Better EVF. Nice grip.

Sony noticeably less height than XE4 and X100V.

The Sony is very easy to quickly grab for street photography, the ergonomics make it comfortable for quick snapshots.

It is known for fast autofocus and will certainly be faster than the Fuji 18mm f2 on XE4 or X100V. It can also be used on CAF with eye tracking for humans or animals.

I originally started with the wider Sigma 19mm f2.8 lens, which is a bit bigger, but switched it for the 20mm to get the smallest size possible. It's about as small as you can get, similar to the popular XE1/2/3 and 27mm pancake walkabout combo.

I still prefer Fuji color so I shoot raw and use Cobalt Image Fuji film simulations. They also do them for Ricoh, Leica and more.
