The wonderful EF 85mm f/1.8 is ok on the M6II but I sometimes have to adjust sliders in PL6 all the way to the right ?

Admittedly it’s not a super sharp lens wide open, so it does need some help that way. But it’s what’s affordable.

Is this the way you want to live ? Having to adjust sliders all the way to the right ?

Well it’s the end results that count. Thank goodness for DxO!

It was on sale for $179 at the Canon refurbished store.

Yeah, Canon sure was blowing out their old inventory before Christmas!  Heck, I bought a (second) refurb 55-250 STM that I didn’t even need, just on principle (it was $99!).  It’ll go out on “permanent loan” to a friend or relative for sure.

Does nice head shots at f/4.

As you mentioned previously, the 85/1.8 is typically (characteristically) soft wide open and improves steadily as it gets closed down until it hits max (razor) sharpness at f/5.6.

I don't mind getting both eyes in focus and all.

And with a DSLR you weren’t even guaranteed ONE eye, LOL!
