R6 II - Weirdness with EF 24-105L
1

Hi gang,

Was doing some shooting today with my R6II with the EF 24-105L (version 1).  Using the Canon standard EF adapter.  Whenever I was focusing the camera would act like it's stopping the aperture down, but I was shooting wide open. I could hear a sound from the lens that sounds like when you do DOF preview at smaller apertures.  The corners would darken slightly for a split second (not get brighter like stopping down would do) and I could see a 'jolt' in the viewfinder.  It would do this every time I clicked the back button to focus.  It was doing this wide open and I have all lens corrections turned off.  It did this with IS on or off.

But...the kicker is that I turned the camera off and remounted the lens and...it quit doing it.  Acted totally normal after that.  Fired the camera up later and it was back doing the same behavior again.  Yet another "power off, remount lens" cycle cleared it up again.

Wondering if anybody else has encountered something similar?  This is my only lens I've noticed this happening with.  Perhaps it's a lens compatibility glitch they need to address in firmware?
