Re: Action shots - Faster lens options (EF preferred) and camera software settings

Some questions are how high-powered are the sports or events, and how critical is reporting (gotta have a zoom in case) vs hunting one great shot (the faster lens will have faster focus in low light, isolate subjects, may have better contrast and color, though I think the focus speed and accuracy and isolation might be more important). As someone with no kids on the travel team in anything anywhere I have a lot of freedom of movement. Nnowak mentioned it but im surprised the ef135 f2 isn’t getting more attention. I find it’s my favorite lens that gets the best shots at school plays, outdoor and indoor sports or performance events. Depending on the distances and event, I’ll bring a small zoom, either 18-150 or 55-250, and the 135. The 135 is about the heaviest I like to put on an M. I had the 50-150 and sold it after a few tries. It’s less than 3 oz lighter than the EF 100-400 L ii, I found it a pain on an xxD body, I’d think it unusable on an M.
