85 f1.8, or 56 f1.4

My 56mm at f/2.0 is sharper than my 85mm at f/5.6 ?

Maybe even at f/1.4.

And fast enough to track a car coming at me fast ?

This was not several tries. This is one try and all the shots. Sorry about the f/1.8.

with the m, that is why I brought it up, yes I'd go with the 32 f1.4 and 56 f1.4 combo

play to the strengths of your system, and these two lenses are tops

Right ? (EF preferred) was requested so that is why the 85mm was brought up I guess.

The 32 f1.4 and 56 f1.4 really are a nice combo and a hard act to follow.

EF 85 was brought up since the op has a concern about m obsolescence

changing systems will cost even more money, if you are happy with your m, fear not and get the best stuff - the m32 f1.4 and 56 f1.3 - because in the big picture, it is about getting the shot.

Right ? The wonderful EF 85mm f/1.8 is from 1992 ?

to be honest, I never bought the 85 f1.8 because it has more purple fringing than many other modern lenses.  They didn’t use good coatings in those days nor develop for high mpxl digital cameras

the 56 f1.4 on 32.5 mpxl is incredible.

And Canon still makes them ? Wow !

I see them for way too much $

They should make the 32mm for that long ?

we hope so
