Re: Canon R5 C-Log: Internal MP4 vs External Pro Res 422 HQ

Hi Erick,

Thank you - this is most helpful.

I've just loaded the Rec709 LUT I apply in grading onto the Ninja V+. Great to have the option of seeing the grade on set. But when I record footage on the Ninja V+ it seems to be baking this grade in to the file.

Assuming there was a way to avoid this I looked though the Ninja V+ menus for LUTs and Monitor. I've already set My LUT settings so that "During Record" is Off (not highlighted). I also can't see a way to turn the LUT off, without having to apply another LUT, which means I'm not able to see the ungraded CLOG footage.
So I think this comes down to two questions:

- How do I avoid baking the LUT into my recording?

- Is there a way to toggle between seeing the LUT on my footage, and removing the LUT to see ungraded LOG footage on the monitor? Does this apply with playback also?

Thank you!
Thom
