Agree with everything has been mentioned so far, in my humble opinion, the only 80-200 F2.8 still worth buying could be the AF-S version, which was optically redesigned to deliver the goods also at 200mm and wide open. Problem is that they tend to develop issues to their AF due to a design flaw (detaching internal ribbon cable) plus the aging first gen SWM motors can lead to a lot of samples that cannot autofocus anymore.
