Underrated RF15-30mm
1

Happy New Year!

I developed allergies a few hours before the New Year's Eve, which meant I couldn't drink alcohol. The good news is it saved me a good amount of money (in HK, NY parties go as much as 500-700 Dollars per person).

The following day - with no hangover to worry about - I went to the camera store and saw the RF15-30mm. It was love at first sight, as I tried it on my R6 and then later my R7. Images are sharp, doesn't match the contrast that comes out of my EF16-35mm f/4L IS USM - which isn't surprising - but for the price and its being very light, it's probably one of the best RF lenses I've recently added to my bag. Need to get a hood since I don't think it's designed to take some beating. I just find it weird that this lens "zooms" when at 15mm versus at 30mm (the barrel extends at widest aperture). So when it's kept in the bag, it's set at 30mm, which I need to remember when I need to use it for a quick shot.

Anyone else having fun with this lens? Is it ok to share photos here, btw, even when I'm new in this forum?
