Looking for good 3rd party LP-E12 battery recommendations (for the m100/m200 / m50/m50ii). Just looking to save a few dollars on a few extra batteries, if possible. Amazon preferred? Thanks!

I can recommend Kastar batteries, sold on Amazon, without reservation. I've used several of them over quite a few years. I encountered one new Kastar LPE12 that for some reason wouldn't charge a second time in a Canon charger. First time, no problem; second time, no go. I notified the seller, who like me had no idea why that would happen but rushed a dual third-party charger to me at no charge. Before that arrived, I located a third-party charger I already had, and the battery charged in that with no problem. I appreciate that quality of customer care. I neither had asked for nor expected him to send me another charger.

Back in the early days of Li-ion batteries, I had one swell. It was a Samsung battery that came inside a used Samsung video camera. I discovered the problem a couple of months after buying the camera. I was just able to get the battery out without damaging it or the camera.  A few years later I had an off-brand battery that, after a half-dozen recharges, started dropping capacity rapidly. I don't know why, but when it went down to half spent after only about 20 exposures, I discarded it. I can't recall the brand, but I'm sure it wasn't Kastar, Wasabi or BM.
