Canon R7 or Canon 1DX

My hobby is photographing my local rugby club matches. I am thinking of moving from a 1DX to an R7. I have a Canon 300mm F2.8 IS II which sits on the 1DX and to gain extra 'length' I use a 1.4x extender unless the light is really poor on partly lit pitches.

The 1DX has only around 15k actuations but as I am nearer to 80 than 70 swapping to an R7 would save some weight as I also carry a Canon R6 with 70-200mm f2.8 lens IS II. The R7 crop factor would / should hopefully mean no loss in apparent focal length whilst gaining a Stop but I am unsure of the effect on picture quality

I publish 'match albums' on Facebook for 'Silhillians RUFC.'

Does anyone have practical experience of photographing rugby, soccer etc with both a IDX and an R7 they are happy to pass on? Thanks JohnG
