My list

- Same, or similar size.
- IBIS. (Not a need, but all things being equal, I want it.)
- I’m fine with the current lens, but I do like the tri-Elmar idea. Leaf shutter, and ND filter, must remain though — and it can’t get too much bigger.
- The anti-theft passcode idea is solid and should be a feature of all cameras moving forward — it won’t really “help” until it becomes the norm, and in the case of cameras, this will take many years.
- Two-axis tilt screen — to shoot “waist level” in portrait mode. I’m “okay” with fully articulated — and use it without issue on my ILC — but I would prefer the screen stayed behind the body on this particular camera. (I also wouldn’t mind if the screen would flip all the way back around to face inwards — the most common position for the screen on my X-S10.
- Build the thumb grip in so I don’t lose the hot shoe using it. Alternatively, produce a thumb grip with a hot shoe pass-through. (I keep eyeing mine with this in mind.)
- A button, or built-in default “C” setting, to take the camera back to “factory default Eterna” — or whatever — so I don’t have to waste one of my custom slots for this purpose. (Currently, when using a custom setting, changing the “film stock” leaves all of the other customizations in place. The only way to start from scratch is to have a “default” custom setting.)
- The ability to store “99” (or “999”) named recipes in the camera and assign any of them to the “7” fast-access custom slots as needed. Also, let me carry an SD card full of recipes that can be loaded as needed. While we’re at it, let me use the mobile app to create, name, archive, and install recipes. (Give me that and you can skip the “recipes on SD card feature — though I’m sure it would be preferable to some.)
- Let me back up and restore camera settings from the mobile app.
- The ability to assign any function to any button. I don’t remember the specifics now, but there was a specific feature I wanted to put on a specific button — but could not.
- 10 Bit (or higher) HEIC file format as an alternative to jpeg.
- No objection to a “safari” model ala Leica — and I’m willing to pay extra. I also wouldn’t object to a Durablack finish, fingerprints and all. Ditto a titanium body.

We're Noct messing around with this review.
Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom impress in a lot of ways, but their noise reduction lags the competition and their lens corrections lack a real-world basis. DxO PureRAW 3 aims to come to their rescue without totally reinventing your workflow!
The Sony ZV-E1 is the company's latest vlogging-focused camera: a full-frame mirrorless camera based the FX3/a7S III sensor, aimed at YouTubers and 'creators' looking to go pro.
The Sony ZV-E1 is a full frame camera targeting YouTubers. Chris and Jordan are Youtubers, what do they think?
Holy Stone produces dozens of low-cost drone models aimed at consumers. We look at the HS710 and HS175D to see if they stack up to other sub-250g offerings. Are these secretly great or more like toys?
Above $2500 cameras tend to become increasingly specialized, making it difficult to select a 'best' option. We case our eye over the options costing more than $2500 but less than $4000, to find the best all-rounder.
There are a lot of photo/video cameras that have found a role as B-cameras on professional film productions or even A-cameras for amateur and independent productions. We've combed through the options and selected our two favorite cameras in this class.
What’s the best camera for around $2000? These capable cameras should be solid and well-built, have both the speed and focus to capture fast action and offer professional-level image quality. In this buying guide we’ve rounded up all the current interchangeable lens cameras costing around $2000 and recommended the best.
Family moments are precious and sometimes you want to capture that time spent with loved ones or friends in better quality than your phone can manage. We've selected a group of cameras that are easy to keep with you, and that can adapt to take photos wherever and whenever something memorable happens.
What's the best camera for shooting sports and action? Fast continuous shooting, reliable autofocus and great battery life are just three of the most important factors. In this buying guide we've rounded-up several great cameras for shooting sports and action, and recommended the best.
