I don't see much hope at this point. I agree try formatting again, then try shooting with only one card in card slot 1 and then slot 2, going with JPEG only, and then RAW only. Beyond that, you could try making sure that every setting is at default so there is as little demand on the processor as is possible.

I'm going to guess that some component on the main board is failing, but the above procedure might somehow clear out a software glitch... worth a longshot try.

There are lots of X-T2 bodies out there now at good prices because a lot of folks are grabbing the X-T5, or picking up used T3s and T4s... the normal process when a new, similar (traditional dial and screen) camera comes out. Just mentioning that because the timing is never great for a body to fail, but now is as good a time as any!
