Hello, the Laowa 9mm0D is most of the time on my M6II, the Sigma 56mm1.4 get its chances for portrait, 18-150 is there when there is sunlight and I need flexibility, 22mm only get out of the bag when I need more compact than compact... 15-45 get a lot of dust...

Hi all.

Just got me a new M6 Mkii for my B-day last week...came from a 7D. I have been out of the photography for years, but got the bug again and finally settled on the M6 over the R due to its size.. I wanted something compact but still be able to capture nice images.

My current gear

Tamron 24-70 2.8 G1, Tamron 70-200 2,8 G1, Canon 100mm Macro

I only have to 2 EFM lens the Sigma 30mm and the Kit 15mm-45mm.

I mainly like to shoot family pics/ events..etc and Landscape. i.e vacations.

Curious to see what Lens everyone has or uses the most that you would recommend.

I'm completely open to what lens/es i should get next that has the best sharpness/image quality.

I'm keep reading about the Sigma 18-35mm, is it as good as everyone says, how is the weight on the M6? is this a must have? should i pick to the 56mm instead?

i know the answers are broad, but that's kinda where I'm at, open to my next purchase... thanks in advance for reading and for taking time to respond.

I'm currently on vacation and had to pack light but wanted a pretty complete system. it was hard to decide which lenses to leave behind (I have 13) but here's what I took with me, and am very happy with my choices, I've used all the lenses already and don't find myself wishing I had made another choice:

- Canon M6 Mark ii body with EVF-DC2

- Canon M200 body (converted to full spectrum but I brought along a 55mm hot mirror filter to use as a second body, I have shot some nice IR with it on the trip)

- Laowa 9mm f2.8 lens - fairly new to me but already one of my favorites --- I think a very under-appreciated lens on the mount. This lens can get shots no other lens can get. I prefer it to the Roki 8mm f2.8 fisheye and it's also a great sub for the Roki 12mm f2. Great for travel since it's so small

- Canon EF-M 11-22mm f4-5.6 - Great daytime walkaround lens, on one body at least half the time

- Canon 22mm f2 - great all-around night and indoor lens - great for travel since it's so tiny. I prefer shooting with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 but the 22mm packs so much better and is so much lighter

- Canon 32mm f1.4 - great night lens and sharp prime for portraits. Can sub for the Sigma 56mm f1.4 for portraits

- Canon EF-M 18-150mm IS STM, extremely versatile, can shoot almost anything in the daytime, on one body at least half the time. Great walkabout lens for traveling and shooting quick family shots

- Canon EF-S 55-250 IS STM with Canon EF - EOS M adapter, most often used with Kenko 1.5x teleconverter (lens has been modded to work with EF accessories) - this lens is on one body at least half the time. I could have packed lighter taking just the Canon EF-M 55-200 instead of the bigger 55-250 + adapter + teleconverter, but I use the 375mm reach often, nearly double the reach of the 55-200, so for me it was worth it.  The 55-200 doesn't have that much more reach than the 18-150, so it's almost redundant, but it is much sharper at the telephoto end than the 18-150,
