Re: I'm also having an issue with my X-T5

I've had an X-T20 for almost six years now. I shoot a lot of still life, landscape and fine art. I shoot on a Leofoto tripod without a center column. I've never had an issue making a sharp image with my X-T20.
I bought an X-T5 and wanted to compare the 18-55 and the 23 f/2 on both cameras. Went out and shot some test images, came back and was disappointed to see the images from the X-T5 were soft. Weather was very cold and very windy that day so I chalked it up to user error. Went back out today for a test at another location and had the same results. Still not convinced, I set some objects on a board and photographed them with both cameras and both lenses.
The included image is with the 23mm f/2. Shot at f/8 on a tripod at ISO 125 with constant lighting. AF was set to AF-S. In this image IS was set to continuous. I tried off and while shooting without a difference. The focus point was set on the top portion of the flashlight switch. Zooming in, it appears focus actually was on the front edge of the magazine. Using MF and focus peaking had the same result. Focus is definitely off on my X-T5.
