Have 2x Olympus em1 and a couple of fast lenses and lights with softboxes.

Which version of the EM 1 do you have? The MK 1, the MK II, or the MK III?

The E-MI MK II (and MK III) is a perfectly fine camera (pretty sure it shoots 1080p 60fps). Just there might be a time limit on recording (like 30-minutes maybe?) Then you would have to re-press the record button.

I am sure that the Sony and Canon Camcorders you mentioned are fine, too. Some people love camcorders because they offer flexibility in certain areas. Other people love mirrorless hybrid cameras (Like the Oly E-M1, the Panasonic GH5 or G9 or S5, etc.,) because they have some flexibility in other areas.

So in short, please veryify whether your current cameras can, or can't, do what you need them to do before investing in a new camera.

By the way, here is a really good video about the capabilities of the Olympus E-MI MK II

My em1 is the first version. I have panasonic lx100 as well. Can shoot 4k and full HD @60p. Wife said it isn't sharp enough (towards soft) indoor and low light is mediocre performance.
