Not to argue, but what causes you to feel the R is more robust than the R6?

To me , it feels sturdier in the hand

I owned both and I agree. The R has certainly a more premium feel.

I've got three R bodies, but I've never handled an R6 (it's never been in the running as an object of my desire...from the R I'd have gone to the R5), so I honestly didn't know.
