I suspect many of us who express interest may have one or two film cameras that still function and maybe we try film again or maybe not.

I've got about five Ricoh and Pentax film cameras, and not a single one of them is fully functional.  I loved them when they worked, but they aren't forever.  And that doesn't mean they were garbage, but after enough decades the failure rate becomes very high.

I've tried scanning color negatives and transparencies, and while it was OK for getting files of my old stuff, I wouldn't bother shooting color film now.

I've tried and tried with digital cameras to emulate the look of Kodak Ektar 100, but have never been entirely happy with the results.

Give me something like a Pentax ZX-50 and my FA 43 lens and some rolls of Ektar, and I'll be happy.  Oh, wait. . .  I did actually have exactly that, and I wasn't happy, because the ZX-50 failed mechanically the first time I took it anywhere.
