I have one ME that still works and shot a roll thru a couple of years ago and it was interesting but kind of expensive and my Nikon scanner is ok for slide scans but I was sort of disappointed. I'm very unlikely to buy another film camera but I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Yeah, I think that's the elephant in the room.

I suspect many of us who express interest may have one or two film cameras that still function and maybe we try film again or maybe not.

I don't "us" is their main target audience for those reasons. I think it is a couple of generations down where there is an interest in retro film, and they don't have a closet full of old cameras.

I've tried scanning color negatives and transparencies, and while it was OK for getting files of my old stuff, I wouldn't bother shooting color film now.

B/W is a bit different. Some of my b/w negs have converted nicely, better than originals now and then. There may be a market there, as b/w has always been less expensive and more approachable as regards processing than color, and good b/w has that "classic" or "historic" feel.

Anyway, like you, I can't wait to see what they come up with.
