Distinctly Average_Shout Out Thank You
7

Background - I'm a new R7/RF100-400mm owner - can't say "user" yet. Plus first-ever ILC owner - coming from the Coolpix P950 superzoom. Received the R7 3 weeks before a birding/wildlife photography trip to Sri Lanka, 30 November. Didn't take the R7, would have been disastrous for me. Now in the throngs of processing 4000 plus images - so R7 has taken a back-shelf for now.

Plan - today to start spending an hour a day in the house - getting used to holding it, familiarizing with buttons, dials, etc. Hopeful I can move along the learning curve. Freezing, dangerously cold here - in the house it is.

Brings me to the Thank You to Distinctly Average - somehow I discovered his website with the very well presented, explained, organized wildlife set up guide for the R7 - a beautiful piece that was very helpful to me. Highly recommended to new R7 owners.

I've looked at other R7 wildlife set-up guides on YouTube, i.e. Fabian Fopp, Ron (Whistling Wings) which are great, but something for me about a print guide like DA has provided that makes for a nice reference.

Even the index titles of the menus are compelling, i.e. Back in the Red, etc.

Thanks again Distinctly Average for providing your exceptional R7 set-up guide.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions and need for help going forward - will appreciate the EOS R Community support.
