100% correct :).

Always easier to be negative than positive. I've learned slowly over the years that its best to look at things from as many perspectives as possible. Then decide for yourself, not the other way around

And... looking at it from the film side, we have an indication of trend by looking at Ilford. From Wikipedia...

In 2012, the company invested £350,000 in a 35mm film cassette making plant, bringing production back in house after relying on external suppliers for 50 years to provide long term surety of supply. The company was also noted as having an 80% share of the black and white photographic market.[19]

In 2017 the Ilford Lab Direct service, operating from the factory site in the UK was re-named HARMAN Lab (and they opened another lab in Southern California serving the U.S. and Canada).

I'm told by industry friends that Kodak has been looking for reps in a few cities NY, LA, maybe others in the U.S.

These are companies investing real money in film production. It's an indication that film use is more robust than many of us might think. As old cameras with drying lubricant and other issues fail, there might be considerably more than 100 customers on the planet that are interested.

Point is, no harm in investigating a new business opportunity. No guarantees. Move cautiously. But move. Pentax needs more income and diversification is a good idea.

Yep.
