I don't think so. Pentax digital cameras are the closest to the film cameras from all other camera makers. For example, thy might be able to reuse the entire mirror box (including the shutter mechanism) and the optical viewfinder from the K-1 digital camera. What they need to "reinvent" is the camera back with the film transport mechanism. And they have all the blueprints for this, don't they.

I think, it might be simpler for Pentax to come with a film version of the K-1 than to come with some significant improvements of it. Well, unless they decide to paint the existing K-1 in different colours. Actually, even this might be more complicated .
