Half of the nostalgia for the person seeking the use of film was finding the old film camera bodies and that they are relatively cheap, there was an enjoyment in tracking down the equipment and even the restoration of the equipment.

Indeed, when I was shooting with the MG and ME-Super in the 1980s I found working bellows 120-roll film cameras from the 1920s and did put film through them - I still have them sitting on a shelf at home. One of them did need a repair (done by a friendly jeweller) and it was massively satisfying to get them to work. I did buy a cheap Russian MF body at the same time - still have that too! But I wasn't in the market for the Pentax 645  or any the MF which was then current and costing more than my 35mm gear.

The Million dollar question would this be popular to the crowd of film buff to go out and buy a new Pentax film camera that would most likely be much more than what most DLSR price points today?

Exactly.  How much is the attraction using old equipment rather than film per-se. And then if the desire is to shoot film in the best way practical who will find the budget for something made in low volumes, with the price set accordingly.
