There are these options:

A) They can try to create modern autofocus SLR which will be able to cooperate with latest KAF-4 DFA lenses and give users something that cameras like MZ-S or MZ-5 cannot. But then the result will be $1500+ camera that will have extremely hard times on market.

B) They can try to create some cheap simple manual focus manual exposure camera like updated MX that will require old lenses with aperture ring. That might cut the price to about $500 level. But the question is, who would buy it, when we already have tons of such cameras everywhere and they cost less than $50

And even if one wants some advanced camera like MZ-S or PZ-1, these are available on 2nd hand market with prices like $200-400 depending on condition.

Good luck..

I agree .. It has to work with all the modern glass otherwise there is NO point in making it!

I would rather like to see K3IV with articulating screen, larger buffer and maybe even that 40Mpix sensor from XT-5. And of course lenses. DA 8-16/4 WR, DFA*20/1.4, DFA*24/1.4, DFA*28/1.4, DFA*35/1.4.. and some telephoto like DFA*60-300/4 and DFA150-600. Why? To make this system competitive again a bit.

Not sure why you want K3 IV and bunch of FF glass with it? I would rather like to get a K-1 III for all my existing FF glass! Give us the 60Mpx sensor! I would love the have an AF module covering more than the APS-C part .. but .. it is unlikely to happen.

But yes to all the lenses you mention .. to me most interesting would probably be 35/1.4

Best,

M
