After playing a bit with both lenses, the Sigma EF 100-400 and the Canon RF 100-400 I'm leaning to keep the Canon.
My heart is with the Sigma, perhaps because it feels more substantial "professional" but my head is with the Canon.
Both are sharp, but the Sigma seem to have an issue nailing the Focus, even using One-Shot AF with Spot area.

My Sigma nails focus, even with Servo and continuous.

I need to do more tests since this could be solved by calibrating the Sigma focus via software, but I doubt since I'm using on sensor AF, not a DSLR.

If my memory serves me well you can prioritize accuracy over speed.

The Canon also seem to have a bit more contrast but it could be Canon is cheating in software, even when I used Raw.

Very well possible.  I have the same feeling with the RF 85mm f/2.0 IS stm and even with the 50mm f/1.2 L I've rented.

I'll update when having the chance to test more aspects of these lenses.

Thanks for your information. If the AF of your Sigma is an issue it's not a difficult decision.  How's IQ at 400mm on the Sigma @f/7.1 vs the Canon @f/8.0?

45 is more than enough, but 500.000 isn't
