IMO there is only one lens for that particular job and it's the 50-140, nuff said.

For sports, the photographer (shooting Fuji in this instance) should have at least two lenses - 50-140 and one of the long telephoto zooms - be it the 100-400, 150-600 or even the Tamron 150-500.

The latter three would not be ideally suited to indoors so that leaves 50-140. Luckily it's one hell of a lens!
