But these arguments fall short here in this forum.  The breaking point seems to be the color palette of Bayer imaging in general.  Foveon users know that the Foveon color palette is not particularly accurate, but we like it better because it seems more artistic, more pleasing generally.

There might not be much that can be done to a Bayer image to make it more closely resemble the Foveon color palette, but with this image I was giving that a try.

Yes, I agree with you that Bayer offers better dynamic range and better basic image quality than Foveon (only when the Bayer image is drastically downsized), but matching that Foveon color seems to be an insurmountable obstacle.
