Don't waste your money on the DO version of the EF 70-300mm. The smaller size looks interesting, but that is where the positives end. Weight wise, it is heavier than the both the original and Mark II versions of the standard EF 70-300mm. The biggest problem is the lens is pretty awful optically. Both regular versions of the EF 70-300mm as well as the L version are noticeably better. If you are already looking at the 55-250mm STM and Tamron 100-400mm, there is probably not much use for a 70-300mm right in the middle. You could just use the 55-250mm STM and crop your 24MP to 16.7MP to get the slightly longer field of view.
I'm only looking at the EF 70-300mm DO IS USM because it's been heavily discounted to $430 for new.
I would never pay the original retail price of that lens.
If anyone is looking at this lens too, do check it out, you might find a stock clearance price too.
I am surprised you are still finding new copies of that lens as it was officially discontinued back in 2017. Canon repair support is ending February of 2023 for the 70-300mm DO. After February of next year, Canon will no longer repair that lens.
In another post you said "The 55-250mm stm is not really cheap in my country. It's about $300 for new. I figured add on a bit more and probably get the EF 70-300mm DO IS USM $430, EF 70-300 IS ii USM $500 or even the Tamron 100-400mm $610."
Frankly, even $430 is far too much for the DO lens. All of the other lenses in your list are quite good and are far better than the DO lens. There are absolutely zero reasons to choose the DO lens over any of the other options in your list.
