Many years ago when I shot Fuji X, I went from the XE-1 to XT-1 all fine. Even some X100 series.

The XH-1 I was excited for IBIS. I had the same issue, multiple lock up issues.  I made the mistake not even a month old by not returning it to the camera store. I sent it to Fuji. I sent it like 3-4 times.  Still unpredictable when lock up would happen.

The camera store even though it was inside the return policy would not take it back for full refund and I should have known better!

I am not saying this holds for future models other than what you describe here.  I am just saying if it were me based on my past experience is return get refund and re-purchase new unit.

In my case this is actually for work purposes and back then I had to leave Fuji go back to Nikon DSLR FF.  I have since made my way to Sony pretty much.

I have good things to say about Fuji X, and have no issue recommending them. Just conveying my experience. It was disappointing since I never ever had any problems with any camera from Fuji X, Nikon, Panasonic and others prior to the XH-1.

In short, for myself regardless of brand, return, replace and or Plan B and switch to a different body inside the same manufacture or do a switch.  I hope you get it resolved.
