So I got an M200, but I didn't really need the M200.

I already have the M3.

I'm more interested in the 15-45mm kit lens that came bundled with the M200.

But I figured that "hey, the lens itself cost 1/3 the whole kit, might as well just get the kit".

Afterall, you get an M200 too with it.

Total damage about $355.

Of course you "need" the M200. 😄

The M200 is a much better camera than the M3. Maybe not in ergonomics, but it has much better AF and is faster in operation because of the newer prosessor.

Also the M3 has a focus frame the size of Africa while the M200 has the "spot focus" frame the size of a neutron. (Yes, a little exaggeration here , but it feels almost like that.)

The colors are to me also much better (but that is of course very subjective).

At the end of the day, it's the output that matters. The M3 may be slower in operation or focusing but the images are great.

But I do agree with you, the focus frame is quite big as I'm use to smaller focus frame, but it hasn't hindered me focusing on subjects.
