It depends on what the photographer values in their images. Most people are fine with how CA is dealt with in PP so the lunch is free for their use cases. CA has been handled in PP to the satisfaction of most photographers for a very long time. You might see things differently.

The two of you MAY be looking at this from two different views. I remember back with the first release of LR it was a horrid  job to fix CA. The CA tool was total crap. On some pics I would spend up to 20 minutes on one picture. I ended up hating the EF 85 f1.8 I liked the lens but hated the time spent in post. Now the CA tool in LR is awesome

I am in the RF 24-240 camp ::)
