Image Stabilization Question
1

Relatively new to the RF mount, please bear with me.

I noticed that EF lenses with IS do not seem to greatly benefit from my R6 and R7 IBIS. This is unlike the native RF lenses I have that has IBIS - the 35mm and the 24mm in particular. I am able to take handheld shots at 1/5 to 1/10 with good keeper rates. I am not able to do that with my EF lenses with IS, particularly the EF16-35mm and the 100-400mm Mark II with three IS options (at reasonably faster shutter speeds of course than what I wrote for the RF lenses).

Is this deliberate on the part of Canon, for the "power" of its IBIS not to be exploited by non-native lenses with IS? Or am I just not skilled enough?

The good news is the IBIS makes my non-IS EF50mm stabilized! It does that for non-IS, why can't it not "fully support" the EF lenses with IS?
