Shooting anime cosplayers with an R7
2

Shot with my R7 and a RF 24-105 f4.0L and I also used a 3rd party Neewer battery to check out what kind of life it would give me.  These were all shot Tv mode, 1/125 of a second with Auto ISO.  This is the kind of subject I shoot: informal, on-the-fly with my children while they do their teenager thing.  Thought it might interest some of you.  My immediate thoughts: RP has better high ISO noise, out of the camera.  Uncorrected, the R7 noise is more obvious to me, though, of course, that's what software is for.  Canon's DPP 4 does a great job natively correcting RAW files, but Lightroom works fine too.

Neewer 3rd party battery life was great.  350 photos shot and still had 2/3 of a battery left. (Of course, I am assuming that the camera is correctly reading the battery's remaining life.  This may not be the case.)

Here are a few sample shots, all heavily cropped.
